Stephen and Karla wed at Fingask Castle, in the beautiful Perthshire country side.
When I met Stephen and Karla they hadn’t quiet decided there wedding venue yet and were heading off to Fingask Castle for a look the weekend after. Once they had been for a look around they fell in love with the quirkiness of it all. It looks a bit like a garden off of the film Alice In Wonderland and any minute a giant white rabbit will appear and start chatting away. There is a red telephone box, topiary bushes, statues and rustic nick back all over. Certainly a cool venue in my eyes.
The drive up from the Borders was stunning, the sunshine shining all the way, it was great that it continued for Karla and Stephen so they married outside in front of the castle and drinks reception in the court yard.
Both Karla and Stephen are massive music fans. They evening entertainment wasn’t a 5 piece jazz band or a Wedding singer, it was their DJ friends all taking a wee set each on the decks, getting people on the dance floor. I must admit I was a bit sad to leave as the tunes we so good!
I realised one thing on the drive home from Fingask, there was a hell of a lot of love in that place. So many man hugs, girl hugs, laughter and fun.
A great couple with a lovely circle of friends and family.
